Clinton R. Horn, President, Founder

A.S in Forest Technology, B.S. in Forest Science, Pennsylvania State University. M.S. in Forest Science, Minor in Statistics, Mississippi State University.
His background includes industry experience as a team leader with Potlatch Corporation (Arkansas Region) where he facilitated the primary timber supply to 5 company manufacturing facilities encompassing approximately 350,000 acres and co-authored the SFI and FSC procedures for the forest management division.
He has direct management responsibilities for raw material deliveries to over 50 facilities in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas. He works closely with clients, customers, and contractors to maintain continuity, making the logistics of Timber Logistics work effectively for all involved.

Colton Shaver began his forestry career at Timber Logistics, Inc. in 2017. He is a 2019 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Monticello, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry. Colton joined our team as an intern in 2017, prior to obtaining his degree. Colton has experience in timber cruising, forest products procurement, logging operation management, and forest management. He is an Arkansas Registered Forester.
Southeast Arkansas is home to Colton. He was born and raised in Monticello, where he still resides with his wife and two children. He is passionate about the work he performs, and he is motivated by serving his community. Colton writes: “My interest in forestry has its roots in spending countless hours exploring my grandparent’s timberland during my youth. Seeing timber harvested for the first time fueled my curiosity about logging and forest management. I believe that experiencing a logging operation on my grandparents’ land has played a fundamental role in how I view the impacts on both the landowner and the overall health of the forest. That is why I am proud to be a part of the Timber Logistics team, where ethics and good morals are at the forefront of every job.”
Dakota Taylor is client-minded and dedicated, with an educational foundation in Forestry. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Resource Management from the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) in 2023. Prior to graduating, he joined our team as an intern in August 2022. As an Arkansas Registered Forester, Dakota brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to sustainable forestry practices.
Born and raised in Warren, Arkansas, Dakota Taylor has a profound connection to the local land and community. He resides in Warren with his wife and daughter. This personal investment drives his career marked by responsible stewardship and innovative management and marketing strategies. He oversees and implements effective resource management plans with a focus on balancing ecological health and economic viability, ensuring the forests under our care are not only thriving today but are also preserved for future generations.

L. Scott Taylor, Transportation Manager
After graduating high school in 1987, Scott joined the Teamsters Union and traveled across the country for several years. He returned home to Warren and started a successful trucking business, hauling logs and chips to local and regional markets. He sold his trucking business in 2010 and began hauling chemicals cross-country for Georgia Pacific.
Scott joined the Timber Logistics, Inc. team as the Transportation Manager in 2016, bringing along with him 30-plus years of trucking experience. Scott’s daily responsibilities include dispatching trucks, hiring drivers, coordinating contract trucks, maintaining fleet maintenance records, and managing Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance. He additionally coordinates with the Operations Manager and Foresters to ensure that our products continue moving in the most efficient ways possible, delivering the correct product to its proper market.

J. Derek Adair, Operations Manager
Derek Adair is a lifelong resident of Bradley County, Arkansas. He graduated high school with Honors in 2001 and began his timber harvesting career as part of his family’s business shortly thereafter. While working alongside his father for many years, he learned all aspects of logging operations, which included business management, leadership, equipment operation and maintenance, and product marketing.
Derek joined the Timber Logistics, Inc. team in 2017. His role as Operations Manager has put all of his skills to use as he oversees the company-owned chipping/roundwood crews. His responsibilities include staff management, equipment maintenance planning, job productivity, tract scheduling, and BMP compliance. He works closely with the Transportation Manager to ensure products are loaded and delivered to the proper destinations, and facilitates the moving of equipment from tract to tract.
